Chain Halts

Laika's chain halting mechanism is a robust safeguard designed to maintain the network's integrity and security. This mechanism is particularly important given Laika's close ties to Dogecoin, ensuring that the L2 network remains true to its L1 origins.

Key Features of Laika's Chain Halting Mechanism:

  • Triggered by Verification Failures: When validators detect inconsistencies in transactions, data availability proofs, or L1/L2 data consistency, they initiate a chain halt. This prevents the propagation of potential errors or fraudulent activities.
